Yea, we have all been heading down those hills that make you pucker harder than your heart can beat. I always use strategy when climbing something that either I am not sure I can make it up, there is always a safe path to ride down. Pumping the brakes is much safer, and won't do any harm to your sled. I also always keep 2 extra old belts in my sled, so if I need some extra traction coming down, throw those on your front skiis, ride down nice and slow. I never use my reverse.
