A buddy of mine had his M7 Boosted.....
Now it has fiberglass fragments for a hood.
2nd ride... throttled up and blew it up...
It was professionally installed too!
Needless to say, he's riding a brand new M8.
He swears he will never boost another one again.

it is usualy due to rider error . i have seen a few deto but ridder error or tuning was in most cases the culprit . i have had mine and no issues but i installed and tuned it myself . 18psi and no issues . fuel is another factor i run 118 klotz in my sled not cheap but neither is a rebuild . if u cant run with the big dogs stay on the porch

boosting a twostroke isnt anything like boosting a 4 stroke. its almost pointless to boost a 2stroke... most of the air coming from the turbo is blown right out of the motor due to the fact of the intake and compression stroke going on at the same time. It does add power dont get me wrong but for the weight it adds your better off with a big bore and such... hell even a little spray if you really want to go fast.

i am not byis or anything i really like turbos. i think its bad a$$ to have a turbo sled but i dont think its worht the money.... just my 2 cents though.... any other thoughts from anyone else please add. i am curious about it but maybe i dont know enough about turboing 2 strokes!

well 16-18 psi =285+hp that is double the HP of my stock m7 and i eat up most big bore on spray i come up against .unless it is a 1500,1720 or 1800 on spray LOL. been up against boosted ,bigbores, and nossed out bad boys . only thing gonna touch it is a TAPEX over 19psi . even then ill still hang . . go to SW and look up threads on 2 stroke turbos . u will learn alot . yes there is good and bad but the fun factor is unreal . and if ur smart and watch ur stuff and maintain it . it will last along time . but thats just me . ill never go back to a naturaly aspirated sled again and same goes with almost any sled junkie that loves HP and has tried a turboed sled
see ya at the top

wow thats a pretty good amount of hp! so give me a break down on what kind of pistons/head/reeds or injectors??/and such your using! I built cars not sleds... i've turbo'd 3 of my own cars and many customers cars befor... complete ground up kits. so for me to do this to my sled would be killer! BUT i have a carbed 800ho rev so i would need lower comp. pistons/head combo. i have turbo'd carb'd motorcyles befor but a 2 stroke snowmobile is big news to me! any more pics of your setup???
