Painting trailing arms-02 MXZ

I am looking to paint my trailing arms on my 02 MXZ. Obviously I need to take them off. My ???'s are... what exactly do I have to remove from each arm and do I need to replace any bushings or anything before putting them back on. If so... how much is a bushing kit and where to get it.

Thanks, Doo02

dont paint them, get them powder coated, its much more durable.

you should be able to just take them off, and put them back on.

You wont need new bushings unless you have a lot of miles on and choose to do it anyways which isnt always a bad idea. Check out extremepowersports.com for parts. They are well priced. If you just sand them down and find some good spray paint you wont need to powder coat them but you will get much better results by powder coating.

trailing arms

I already thought about powdercoating but I heard the ****ty thing is, if I were to hit something and it chips then it will continue to chip and there is nothing you can do beside take them off and re-powder, and it would be alot cheaper to just repaint them if it chips. I have heard of alot of people painting and never having prob. yet.

Thanks for the info.
