Best way to break in a 4 stroke sled

Like I said in the other thread, I just bought my sled and won't get a chance to ride it until January.

What's the best way to break in th motor.

I've been tolds two ways, was told the same things with my street bikes too.

1st: Ride it but take it easy, vary the RPMs, no constant RPMs and ocassionly rev it up, but not too long.

2nd: Ride it like your gonna ride it and don't worry about it.

Sleddin daddy any advice?

I'd really hate to spen 3 days of a 5 day trip taking it slow and easy but I don't want a blown motor either........

I rode mine about 200-250 miles fairly easy... like you said varying RPM's never really getting much over about 6500 or so... then between 225-300 I got it up to about 8500 or so pretty regularly and now I'm ready to go... my dealer said just to keep the RPM's varied a lot, but be easy the first couple hundred miles...
Make sure you get it in after the first 500 for its oil change and check... that'll keep the warranty valid...
Other than that, ride it good... ride it lots... it'll last a LONG time!!! I'm really excited to get back on mine this year!!!

If you ever make it to Northern Utah, look us up... we'll get you out on the hills with us!!
