Top Speed

I have an older skidoo mach 1 670 and I can't get it to go over 80mph and I know I should get alot more out of it. I just rebuilt it about 300 miles ago it runs great and it accelerates really fast, but I don't know what I did wrong to slow my top speed down so much any ideas?

There are a number of factors on a sled that age that can be attributed. Often it is a combination of things, such as and probably most likely is the condition of your belt and clutches. A proper inspection and service is likely do. Also make certain you are geared appropriately for your desired top speed, generally clutch efficiency is lost near the top of the sheave so you gear approx. 15% higher than your target. Also inspect Parallelism, offset and center distance.
