03 REV 600 H.O. Problems

Hey guys i was just wondering if anyone has had any problems with the 03 REV's like maybe the motor... i blew mine up this past winter.. and it was nothing like no oil or anything it just lost power and shut off.... im almost positive i roasted the rings... its not stock it has a clutch kit and exhaust but thats it... anyone know why this would have happend. Thanks a alot

rebuild it, I have a friend who rides skidoo's and he ends up replacing them about once a year.

twin pipes or single exhaust? may just be that the weather got cold and you motor was leaned out and burnt a hole in the top of the piston. you could have also gotten water in your gas and that caused your motor to run lean and grenade. did you hold it WFO too long and seize it up? it could be alot of things. take the motor apart and take pictures of the troubled piston and i could tell you more

those motors are known for that... almost all 03-04 600 ho and sdi's blow up with only a couple hundred miles on them. they have problems with their pistons and cylinder walls. All you need to do is buy aftermarket pistons and that should fix the problem!
