Track Talk...Whats your favorite? Why?

I am collecting input on tracks specifically applied to hillclimb, both powder and pack, please respond with what your favorite track is and why. Let everyone know what sled and what conditions you found it to work on. What attributes do you like or dislike about a particular track? Mtn. Lite, Challanger Extreme, Attack 20, Maverick, Series 4, etc.

Well nothing climbs better than an A20 in hillclimb pos.
Nothing gets through the powder better than an A20 in powder position.
Unfortunately the track absoulty sucks trying to do both...as I'm sure most know.
My vote goes for the Extreme, just wish it wasn't such a PIA to get the 2.5" lugs to fit.
I would do a Maverick if they made a 153 x 16

It all depends on skill level, rider preference, and snow conditions. Seeing how i live in Alaska, my preference would be the Challanger. I ride a rev, and have been nothing but pleased by it. All of the other tracks that have been mentioned are all relatively STIFF tracks, where as the challenger is a softer one. With a softer track you will trench less in deep snow, but the trade off is you wont grab the spring slushy ****ty snow very well, because the paddles will be wanting to fold a little bit. All in all, i have put a challenger on ever sled i've ever owned, and would highly recommend it to anyone that likes to ride powder.

AK your absolutely right, the reason the softer paddles tend to float better is because as they bend back they create a pack face creating lift instead of just going down. The trade is the hard pack performance.

The best track I have ever riden is on my 800 now. It is a challenger extreme....151X15X2.5....I think what really makes this track hook up is the 3" pitch...its the first I have ever owned with 3" pitch and it seems to make a world of difference.

I too favor the challanger extreme, however it has an obvious weight disadvantage (the thing is just plain heavy), and its pressed track not a drum built track so it tends not to be as balanced.
