Never done much trail riding and i know in some areas u guys do nothing but that. What's it like? Do you guys head out and just ride and ride and ride, or do you stop places, visit cabins, do poker runs, resteraunts/bars along the way etc? How many miles will you do in a day? Everyone hauling a$$ the whole time or do you guys just chill and cruise along most of the time

Just curious what it's like
Depends on where you are and who you are with. I usually make a few stops for food and fuel and bladder breaks. Depending on the conditions, I might do 150/200 miles for the day.
Poker runs are a great fund raiser for the clubs and a boatload of fun too.

It aint broke, so I took it apart to find out why.
I do nothing but trail riding, and yea we go to eat, get gas, go to other cabins(if we know them), and just ride. Who your with and how rough the trails are determines how many miles we can go. If along the trails we find some other paths and hills, or some untouched deep pow, we will go play for a bit and then continue on. Lot of fun that way I think!

do the trails stretch between towns and you stop in the actual towns, or are you stopping at cabins only, with fuel stashes? Do you guys stash your own fuel? Do you ride through towns that are sled friendly, like pull up to a place to eat and there's a bunch of sleds out front?

sounds like great fun
Trails stretch from town to town. Gas stations, party stores, the whole 9 yards. I do not stash own fuel because usually there is a town close enough. I don't know about other states, but North MI is a sled community in the winter. You can pull into town and there will be sleds all over... gas stations are full of sleds filling up and go to the local Pub or diner and there will be tons of sled parked right out front! All depends on location of town too, but most towns are busy in the winter! Alot of the businesses in towns don't even plow snow, just so the sled don't have to ride across cement. They will leave about 5" on cement and pack it down for us!! Awesome!!!
The thing I like most about it is that there could be one main trail leading from town to town, and the trail map will show many other trails that branch off and take you to other places, towns and whatever. It is not just a straight ride to and from. Many, many options when on the trails.
Good times!! Doo02
It is a lot of fun.

Here are a few pics I found online, not sure what state they are from but it looks similar to what I see every ride here in MI. The trail map is from a section in MN.
Hope this gets you a better idea of what we see and do.
